Global Change for Children® (GC4C®) is dedicated to helping children by providing financial and other types of assistance. Our objective is to promote and enhance the health, education, social and economic development of children in disadvantaged regions throughout the world.
The health and wellbeing of children around the world is of fundamental concern to all of us. While the problem of child poverty may seem too large an issue for a small non-profit organization to make a difference, the founding members of GC4C believed that small, well organized groups can and do improve the lives of others.
The GC4C team comprises professional women, primarily in the mining exploration and mining industry in Vancouver, British Columbia. Because their travel often took them to remote, poorer communities, they saw firsthand the plight of disadvantaged children internationally and here at home. With other GC4C members having direct experience dealing with community issues – specifically child welfare – the team came together with a common goal to make that difference.
GC4C is a volunteer-based organization, and because we have no overheads or paid employees, 100% of our net proceeds go directly to the projects we support.
GC4C received its registration and designation as a Public Foundation from Canadian Revenue Agency on September 17th, 2009.
